Week in the Life - Monday
I am participating in Week in the Life with Ali Edwards (and community) this week. This is probably one of my favorite projects all year.
As usual, I took a ton of photos on Monday. I won't take this many every day. And I'll use some of these at the end of the album (like the ones around the house).

Holden still enjoys making himself breakfast. Him and Coda have been liking what I call Egg in a Hole and what they call TP Toast (fried egg inside of a hole in a piece of bread). Everyone was out the door by 8am, even me. I had a busy day ahead of me. I needed to get to the grocery store and back before the house cleaners came. Someone bought us house cleaning every other Monday. It’s been awesome. We thought we were done, but I guess we had one more. I put together a menu and grocery list last night so I was able to get in and out of King Soopers in 30 minutes. When I got home, I jumped online to get Coda signed up for the 8th grade DC trip. What a cool thing to be able to go do. I can not believe he’s going to be in 8th grade next year! YIKES. After I got all the groceries put away I went to the garage to get a workout in while the house cleaners were working. Deadlifts and rowing. After my workout I ran to Costco to get a few more things. Spent around $115. Hopefully that will last us the week. Trying to be better about my grocery budget.
Laundry and lunch before heading to Emerald for Big Messy Field Days for the 3rd - 5th graders. Emerald does such an awesome field days for the kids. So many fun activities and this year, the art teacher jumped in and had tons of really cool messy art projects too. Zach's having his own version of field days/ spirit week at work this week. They're doing a bunch of activities as a team. Today, they went to the ninja warrior place and did a team building activity. FUN. After school, Holden went to the skate park with Mika and Keara. Oliver wanted ot bake some homemade brownies. We found a Nutella brownie recipe on Pinterest that we had all the ingredients for so he made those. YUM. Glad to be done with Whole 30 so I could try them. Coda headed to TAB (teen advisory board for the library) after school. I cooked dinner while Oliver finished baking.
Zach got home from work and was exhausted so he took a short nap before dinner. Once everyone was home, we ate dinner, Whole 30 compliant chicken tenders with roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes and brussels. Coda opted for a big side of spinach over the brussels and did a Popeye move for a picture. After we cleaned up dinner, we took the dogs for a walk. It’s so nice outside! I love this weather. Coda and Oliver stopped into the library while we were walking. Oliver picked up all the books he could find about New York. I love that he's excited about this trip. Everyone got ready for bed and read quietly when we got home. Zach even went to bed at 8pm. I watched a little Hulu and had a glass of wine before going to bed.
Will update again soon.
Love & Light.
