The Story of this Morning
Zach left early this morning to have coffee with his dad before work. Holden and Oliver worked on writing their Kid Perfect (KP) song and making a KP shirt for Paxton. KP is like Dude Perfect but for a group of their friends. It’s Paxton, Addie, Elaina, Holden and Oliver. After everyone went to school I cleaned up the kitchen. It gets pretty messy during breakfast with all the kids just making whatever they want most mornings. Then I baked a lemon blueberry crumb cake and started the veggie loaded chili in the crockpot. Jenni came over for a visit. We chatted mostly kid/parenting stuff.

The Story of this Afternoon
After Jenni left, I worked on the yearbook. So much work to do on the yearbook. Today Zach’s work activity was a scavenger hunt around Boulder dressed up as characters. (Caitlin’s plan, of course) Zach was Carl the Merman. Probably not the weirdest thing in Boulder that day. HA. When Holden and Oliver got home from school they did their chores. We are using this app, Roster Money, to track their allowance and chores. It was so nice out, they decided it was a perfect day for a lemonade stand. They got all of our disposable cups that we had laying around and were able to over several different sizes ranging from 25¢ to $1.00. They made $8.00. We have awesome neighbors. I did more work on the yearbook.

The Story of this Evening
Holden, Oliver and I ate dinner early so we could get Holden to his last lacrosse practice. Oliver did not want to finish eating because he did not want any squash. I made him take the bowl in the car with us and finish (I had to feed him in the parking lot). We left before Zach (work) and Coda (track practice) got home. Once Oliver finished up eating we played at the park during Holden’s practice. It was so nice out, probably around 70-75°F and sunny. For the last half hour of Holden’s practice I walked the track while Oliver played by himself. Zach and Coda ate dinner and then Zach took the cover off the swamp cooler. It’s been so hot this last week. UGH. Swamp cooler is rusted and has a hole so it won’t hold water (or something like that). Zach is hoping he can repair it rather than replace it. Hopefully that works. But, at least it’s not an A/C unit. Swamp collers are fairly cheap. After the boys went to bed, Zach and I watched a little Netflix and went to bed.

Will update again soon.
Love & Light.
