Week in the Life - Wednesday
The Story of this Morning
Sleepy morning. Coda and I are so not morning people. Oliver is about half and half, but I would say he’s not much of a morning person either. Zach and Holden, however, are always the first ones up. Zach is up making breakfast for himself and the boys. Holden and Oliver are eating so much lately. Eggs and sausage plus nutella toast plus yogurt. Coda just eats a yogurt before school, you’re lucky if you can get him to eat that much. Holden and Oliver bike to school and Zach heads to work. Since Coda has a track meet after school today, I give him a ride. He usually bikes. When I get home I look over all my Week in the Life photos ( Zach processed my photos this morning) and work on the yearbook for Emerald. I make myself a veggie egg scramble for breakfast and send out my Monday photos to Costco to print before heading over to the Broomfield Depot to chaperone Oliver’s field trip.
Real Life looks like Oliver snuggling with baby red and the dogs.
Real Life looks like Holden with a dirty face. Always a dirty face!
Real Life looks like library books all over. We love the library around here.
The Story of this Afternoon
The Broomfield Depot was cool, I’ve never been there. The kids are learning all about our community and the history of Broomfield. Oliver said his favorite part was “all of it”. He has been very interested in learning about the history and loves to tell us all the facts that he learns. After the field trip I ran to Costco to pick up my prints and came home to work on putting Monday together and did a little work on the yearbook too. Holden and Oliver got to play yard games and have pizza with the fourth grade teachers after school. We won it during an auction fundraiser. I love that the teachers put together fun experiences like these for the kids to help fundraise for PTO. For Zach’s team activity at work today they all went to Upstairs Circus and made crafts. Zach made me a cute leather clutch.
Real Life looks like being able to go on field trips again.
The Story of this Evening
I picked Holden and Oliver up at 4pm and we went straight to Coda’s track meet. He did the discus (30 feet 1 inch), shotput (14 feet 7 inches) and 100m dash (21.3 seconds). We left by 4:45pm and went home to cook dinner and do chores. After dinner the boys all helped clean up and took showers. Zia came over and Zach took Coda and Zia to Controlled Chaos while he stayed at the office and worked on some Girls Inc videos. When he got home we made some homemade salted fudgy brownies (we’re on a big brownie kick post Whole 30 I guess), watched some Netflix and were in bed by 11pm.
Real Life looks like Finley attacking the snakes in the backyard and grabbing them in his mouth and swinging them around. Today one ended up in here.
Real Life looks like going to youth group with a girl that you've known since Kindergarten. I love that they reconnected in middle school after not seeing each other through all of elementary school.
Will update again soon.
